Koryn Hawthorne – Won’t He Do It (Official Music Video) | @KorynHawthorne

Koryn Hawthorne‘s debut album Unstoppable arrives at the summit of Billboard‘s Top Gospel Albums chart (dated July 28) with 2,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week, ending July 19, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 1,000 are from traditional album sales.

The launch marks the first debut album to bow in the penthouse since the chart dated May 12, when Maranda Curtis’ freshman full-length, Open Heaven: The Maranda Experience, opened at No. 1 with 3,000 units. The set followed her launch EP, The Maranda Curtis Experience, which also entered at No. 1 on Aug. 26, 2017 (3,000).

With her No. 1 debut on Top Gospel Albums, Hawthorne, a finalist from season eight of NBC’s The Voice in 2015, dominates four of the five main Billboard gospel charts. Her introductory hit single, “Won’t He Do It,” reigns on Hot Gospel Songs, Gospel Airplay and Gospel Digital Song Sales.
